Focus areas for small groups not good
Breakfast was adequate. They changed our room (which was extremely small with a small shower) because of my partner's breathing problems from a second floor to a ground floor, this still mean't a flight of stairs as we were in the building next door.
We did not feel the hotel was up to usual standards expected. On arrival not told about booking for a meal, when I did try at 5:45 after being told on asking that 6:00 was the latest to book was told fully booked! Although later all the tables were not prepared also not given the option of having bar snacks. Had informed the hotel that my partner was deaf but no safety factors were put in place. The room phone did not work even after informing them. Could not lock the windows even though we were on the ground floor, and as a female couple on honeymoon left us feeling very vulnerable.
Room facilities was ok. Bar Menu was good and reasonably priced. Other facilities like the gym, swimming pool is available.
The shower was a bit of a let down. Plastic fittings - that should be changed. I would have liked an internet facility as overseas travellers do no travel with laptops and need to access the internet for onward planning.
staff were very freindly and helpful and food was excellent
The hotel was extremely welcoming, arranging ground floor rooms for us, as my wife had recently undergone knee surgery. The quality of the food both for breakfast and for the evening meal was excellent, so we dined in every night. Our six foot wide double bed was palatial. A good hotel for mature couples!
We were very happy in our lovely premier room. We had the 5 course dinner which was excellent. Will definitely be returning.
Just one or two small points. I needed to sew a button on my husband's shirt and had to ring down to reception for a sewing kit. Usually a sewing kit is provided in a room that is advertised as premium. Also the towel rail was permanently on very hot and the control knob was missing. As the weather was so hot, this would have been helpful to turn it off when not in use.
Quiet location, but only 5 min. walk to the beach and town centre. Comfortable, good size room with a lovely garden view. Good service and very helpful staff. Tasty English breakfast.
Bad first impression as the lobby seemed airless and worn down. The bathroom was rather small, especially the shower cabin. Low water pressure in the shower.
The staff were extremely helpful and available. Comfortable room and pleasant public areas. Above all the evening meal was excellent. Good choices wonderfully cooked and appetisingly presented.
Polite staff, alway willing to go the extra mile to help. Evening meal was excellent value.
We had a lovely time so a big big thankyou to all at The Eversley x x
We had an excellent room - Rm 14. Everything in the room was brand spanking new! The bathroom was lovely with a full size bath and separate shower cubicle. It was a large room and well worth the money.
There is still a slight smell of paint in the room, so more ventilation is needed.
Being in such a nice location. Had it been warmer weather they have a beautiful garden and swimming pool and it would have been nice to relax there, but equally be able to walk down the hill to the beach in minutes.Great building, the rooms are comfortable and clean.
Unftunately it was a little dissapointing. The breakfasts were very bland and not very well presented. This hotel has masses of potential but it slips up on it's friendliness and service. No complaints, just not what we expected for the money.
Lovely big room with beautiful modern bathroom, big tree outside window and view of town. Staff were helpful. Excellent dinner. Easy parking.
Furnishings in public rooms rather dated.
The premier room was large in size, lovely and comfortable, modern with tea/coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very nice, plenty of choice and quality food. The location was very good, next to Ventnor gardens and a short distance from the botanical gardens.
The twin-bedded room was small, rather dated and airless; definitely worth paying the extra for the premier.
The staff on reception were warm and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable.
There was no attachment for the shower which was in the bath without a screen. I would have preferred a stand up shower. The interior decor was very old and dark looking and was very off putting. Likewise the decor of the dining room felt dark and old fashioned. I was dissapointed that the jaccuzzi that I was looking forward to using had been shut off early and was reported to be warm rather than hot. Likewise the pool that I had though about using I wastold was full of leaves. The bed in the bedrom was very short and my daughter found it too small. If my husband had been with me he would jhave asked to change rooms. Also he would have been very upset with the lask of a stand up shower. The televion was sat on a dressing table and looked out of [place and the instructions for the tv were not accurate. When I tried to ring the reception the phone did not connect and was not answered, so I had to go downstairs. The parking area was very restrictive and off putting. The exterior of the hotel looked dark and off putting.
